The Miss Hill City Scholarship Organization is a proud local preliminary to the Miss Virginia and Miss America scholarship pageants. We celebrate the achievements of young women aged 14-28 who are passionate about education, community service, and personal growth. Our program provides scholarships, leadership training, and a platform to amplify your voice on issues that matter.
Competition Guidelines
Candidate Requirements
Age Requirements
Miss: Must be no younger than 18 by September 1, 2026, and no older than 28 by September 30, 2026.
Teen: Must be no younger than 14 by September 1, 2026, and no older than 18 by September 30, 2026
General Eligibility
Be a United States citizen.
Be a female.
Must be single with no legal dependents.
Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization.
Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements.
Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the local, state, and national competition(s) in which you compete.
Residency requirements: Live in Virginia for at least 30 days before the local competition and/or work or attend school in Virginia.
Teen delegates must be a legal resident of Virginia for at least 6 months prior to local competition.
Miss America Registration and Payment
The Miss America Organization requires all contestants to register once during each competition season. Use the link below to register with MAO and pay the $49.99 registration fee. Please select “Virginia” and then “Miss Hill City" when asked. Please take a screenshot of your registration and payment for verification. https://www.club.missamerica.org/ma-membership
Local Registration and Payment
The Miss Hill City Scholarship Organization requires all Miss and Teen contestants to register and pay a non-refundable $250 registration fee.
Required Paperwork
All delegates must download, complete, and submit the required paperwork to Miss Hill City Executive Director Steven Dunn at info@misshillcity.org.
Areas of Competition
Interview: 10-minute private interview with a panel of judges
Health & Fitness: High-energy modeling routine in fitness-wear
Talent: 90-second talent presentation
Evening Wear: Graceful modeling routine in formal wear
On-stage Question: 20-second Q&A about the candidate's community service initiative or current events
