Our Mission

An official preliminary to the Miss Virginia Opportunity Competition, the Miss Hill City Scholarship Organization, Inc., is one of the many local providers of scholarships to young women in the state. Often perceived as a one-night competition by the general public, the organization offers much more.

The mission of the Miss Hill City Scholarship Organization is to empower young women to lead with confidence, serve with purpose, and pursue their educational and personal goals.

Rooted in the Lynchburg community, we provide opportunities for young women to develop their voices, strengthen their leadership skills, earn scholarships, and create meaningful change through community service.

Guided by the five pillars of Scholarship, Service, Style, Success, and Sisterhood, we strive to cultivate confident, compassionate leaders who understand that a crown is not simply something you wear—it is an opportunity to make an impact.
